Shannon R. Long, MA, MS

Shannon Long began her position as AvenueE Program Coordinator in October 2020. She previously worked at California State University, San Bernardino, as a Retention Specialist, then at UC Berkeley as an Academic Adviser. With her background as a transfer and re-entry student, Shannon has personal experience with the unique challenges transfer students face as they transition to university and adjust to the rigor and pace of upper division coursework. Shannon enjoys working closely with AvenueE students and supporting their success from matriculation to graduation. She employs a strengths-based, holistic approach to student development and success, and firmly believes all students are capable of attaining their academic, personal, and professional goals.
