Students presenting research at the virtual showcase

Wrap Up: Transfer Bridge 2021

The Transfer Bridge Program is an extended orientation program for the incoming AvenueE cohort at UC Davis. The 2021 orientation took place from August 30th through September 10th.

This program offers incoming transfer students an in-depth opportunity to become familiar with the UC Davis community prior to starting their first quarter. During this time, students can receive academic guidance and professional development, as well as build connections to faculty, advisors and other students.

As part of the Transfer Bridge Program, students work in small collaborative teams to tackle a research project.  The main objective of this project is for students to collaborate with others in their academic discipline to explore a related research and/or innovation topic of interest. The Transfer Bridge Program culminates with a student showcase, in which they present their research findings through presentations, posters and a Q&A session with attendees.

This year's showcase was held virtually on the last day of Transfer Bridge. The incoming students had two weeks to develop a project with a focus on UN Sustainable Development goals.
